Can playing music ease chronic back pain and improve thinking?
NCT ID NCT06940063
Summary
This study is testing whether an active music-based therapy can help people with chronic low back pain. Researchers want to see if playing an instrument, singing, or songwriting during five sessions over two weeks can improve participants' thinking skills, reduce their sensitivity to pain, lessen catastrophic thoughts about pain, and boost their overall quality of life. The study will enroll 40 adults to see if this creative approach offers meaningful relief.
