Can music and social support over video calls fight loneliness in seniors?

NCT ID NCT06219148

Summary

This small pilot study tested whether a telehealth program combining music therapy and social work support could improve the well-being of older adults living at home. Twenty participants, some with and some without dementia, received sessions over video calls. Researchers measured changes in feelings of well-being, loneliness, and mood to see if this combined approach was helpful and acceptable.
