Scientists probe Music's power to change pain
NCT ID NCT07036315
Summary
This study aims to understand how the personal meaning we find in music can change how we feel pain. Researchers will enroll 50 healthy volunteers to listen to music while experiencing mild pain, then rate their pain levels and complete surveys about their emotions and sense of meaning. The goal is to gather knowledge about the brain's pain pathways, not to provide a treatment.
