Calming tunes and deep breaths tested to fight dental chair jitters
NCT ID NCT05844878
Summary
This study tested a non-drug method to help adults who feel anxious about going to the dentist. Researchers in Iraq had 240 patients listen to soft music and practice simple breathing and muscle relaxation exercises during their dental appointments. They compared this group to patients who received regular dental care without these techniques to see if the relaxation package made a difference in anxiety levels after three months.
