Healing harmonies: can music soothe critically ill kids?
NCT ID NCT05541029
Summary
This study is testing whether listening to music can help reduce stress and pain in children who are critically ill and on a breathing machine in the intensive care unit. Researchers will compare the effects of live music versus recorded music by measuring stress hormones and other biological signals in the children. The goal is to find a safe, drug-free way to improve comfort and recovery for these vulnerable patients.
