Music prescribed for stroke patients to soothe mind and boost brain
NCT ID NCT06743412
Summary
This study tested whether simply listening to music could help people feel better and recover mentally after a stroke. Researchers enrolled 150 stroke patients and randomly assigned half to listen to music regularly during their hospital stay and for three months after. They measured patients' anxiety, mood, sleep, pain, and thinking skills to see if the music made a difference.
