Music may soothe patients after shock therapy
NCT ID NCT06817330
Summary
This study is testing whether listening to music during and after electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) can reduce agitation when patients wake up. Researchers will enroll 92 adults with severe depression who are receiving ECT treatment. They want to see if this simple, side-effect-free approach can make recovery calmer and potentially improve memory outcomes.
