Summary
This study looks at whether listening to music can reduce anxiety and improve heart rate, blood pressure, and heart rate variability in people having outpatient surgery for the first time. About 90 adults will be assigned to hear either their own chosen music or a standard playlist. The goal is to see if music can make the surgery experience less stressful.
