Calming tunes for mom, calmer baby? music tested during pregnancy check-ups

NCT ID NCT07414641

Summary

This study tested if listening to music during a routine prenatal heartbeat test (called a non-stress test) could help reduce anxiety in pregnant women and affect their baby's heart rate and movements. One hundred pregnant women were randomly assigned to either listen to music through headphones during the test or to have the standard test without music. Researchers measured the mothers' anxiety and mood before and after, and also tracked the baby's heart rate and activity during the test.
