Music during pregnancy check eases Mom's nerves, study finds

NCT ID NCT07414641

First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looked at whether playing music for pregnant women during a routine non-stress test (a check on baby's heartbeat and movements) can lower the mother's anxiety and improve her mood. About 100 pregnant women took part, with half listening to music through headphones during the test and the other half receiving standard care. The goal was to see if this simple, drug-free approach could make the experience more relaxing for mothers and possibly benefit the baby.
