Soothing tunes calm heart patients during scary procedure

NCT ID NCT07424339

Summary

This study tested whether playing music for patients during an angiography procedure could help reduce their anxiety and improve their vital signs like heart rate and blood pressure. 50 patients scheduled for the heart artery imaging test were randomly assigned to either listen to music during the procedure or receive standard care without music. Researchers measured anxiety levels and vital signs before, during, and after the procedure to see if music made a difference as a simple, drug-free way to ease patient discomfort.
