First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a personalized music-based aerobic exercise program to standard physical therapy helps people recovering from a stroke. About 92 patients in the subacute phase will either receive standard therapy alone or standard therapy plus 30-minute music-guided exercise sessions, five days a week for six weeks. The goal is to see if the music program improves mobility, balance, mood, and independence in daily activities.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could provide a simple, enjoyable way to boost recovery of movement, balance, and mood after a stroke.
