Scientists put one leg to work, one to rest in muscle mystery study
NCT ID NCT06350591
Summary
This study aimed to understand the basic science of how muscles grow and shrink. Researchers observed 15 healthy young women, having them exercise one leg while keeping the other leg immobilized in a brace for 10 days. They measured muscle size and strength and analyzed how proteins in the muscle changed in response to these opposite conditions to learn more about muscle health.
