Can a simple workout and supplement plan fight muscle wasting in dialysis patients?
NCT ID NCT05884138
Summary
This study is testing whether a 12-week program of resistance exercises and essential amino acid supplements can help improve muscle mass and strength in people receiving hemodialysis who have sarcopenia (muscle loss). The researchers want to see if this combined approach can make daily physical tasks easier and improve quality of life. About 40 participants will be randomly assigned to either receive the exercise and supplement program or not, to compare the results.
