Brazilian researchers create First-Ever muscle strength standards for ICU patients

NCT ID NCT06296381

Summary

This study aims to create standardized reference equations to measure muscle strength in both healthy individuals and critically ill patients in intensive care units (ICUs). Researchers will observe 180 Brazilian adults and elderly participants, using handheld devices to measure grip and limb strength. The goal is to establish accurate measurement tools that can help doctors better assess patient health and recovery in hospital settings.
