Scientists probe why some People's muscles bounce back faster after inactivity
NCT ID NCT04151901
Summary
This research study aims to understand how middle-aged men and women's muscles recover after a period of not being used. Healthy participants aged 50-65 will have one leg immobilized for a week, followed by a week of rehabilitation exercise. Researchers will measure muscle changes to learn why some people recover faster than others and how recovery differs between men and women.
