Summary
This study is testing whether a nutritional supplement called HMB can help reverse muscle loss in people who have both alcoholic liver disease and COVID-19 pneumonia. Researchers will give the supplement to some participants and compare their muscle mass and hospital admissions over 90 days to others who do not receive it. The goal is to see if HMB can help patients recover better from this serious combination of illnesses.
