Could Age-Related muscle loss predict your shoulder tear?

NCT ID NCT07183774

Summary

This study aims to understand if age-related muscle loss, called sarcopenia, is linked to specific patterns of rotator cuff tears. Researchers will enroll 104 adults with chronic shoulder pain and a rotator cuff syndrome diagnosis. They will measure participants' muscle strength and mass, then compare these findings to the types of tears seen on their shoulder MRI scans to look for a connection.
