New drug aims to stop muscle wasting when you Can't move a leg
NCT ID NCT07397468
Summary
This study is testing whether a new drug called JUV-161 can help prevent muscle loss when a person's leg is immobilized, like after an injury. Healthy volunteers aged 40-65 will have one leg put in a brace for two weeks and receive weekly injections of either the drug or a placebo. Researchers will measure changes in leg muscle size and strength to see if the drug helps protect against muscle wasting during this period of disuse.
