Doctors scan muscles to predict recovery after lung transplants
NCT ID NCT06268171
Summary
This study aimed to understand muscle loss in patients after lung transplants. Researchers used simple ultrasound scans to measure thigh muscle size before and after surgery in 42 transplant patients. The goal was to identify which patients lose the most muscle and find ways to guide better physical therapy and recovery plans after the operation.
