First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 10, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study is testing whether injections of a person's own muscle cells can help repair the anal sphincter muscle and improve bowel control. Researchers will enroll 10 adults with long-term fecal incontinence who haven't been helped by standard treatments. The goal is to see if these muscle cell injections can help the body rebuild stronger muscle tissue for better control.
