NCT ID NCT07387770
First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study aims to understand how muscle deteriorates in cancer patients during hospital stays. Researchers will use simple tests like grip strength, body composition measurements, and muscle electrical activity to track changes. The goal is to identify early signs of muscle loss, which affects up to 42% of cancer patients and can lead to worse outcomes. About 40-50 adults with cancer who are hospitalized for at least 4 days will participate.
