Scientists chill leg muscles to unlock exercise secrets

NCT ID NCT07381920

Summary

This is a small pilot study to test if a new research method works. Researchers want to see if cooling the thigh muscles changes how those muscles activate during strong contractions. They will recruit 24 healthy young adults to perform leg exercises under normal and cooled conditions, using special sensors to measure muscle activity. The goal is to gather data to help design a larger, more detailed study in the future.
