NCT ID NCT04963075
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 20, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This small proof-of-concept study tested a non-invasive training program that pairs sounds with visual cues to help people with hemianopia (blindness in half the visual field) regain some sight. Five adults with stable hemianopia completed a three-month program. The goal was to see if this multisensory approach could improve visual detection in the affected field. Results are very early and limited.
