Summary
This study tests a fast, point-of-care PCR test for people with acute respiratory infections who are at risk of severe illness. About 17,000 adults in primary care will get either the rapid test or usual care. The goal is to see if the test helps doctors start the right treatment sooner and reduces serious outcomes like respiratory failure or hospitalization.
