Major trial tests new hope for Tough-to-Treat blood cancer

Summary

This large, late-stage study is comparing a new three-drug combination (iberdomide, daratumumab, and dexamethasone) to a standard three-drug therapy for people whose multiple myeloma has returned or stopped responding to prior treatments. The main goal is to see if the new combination can keep the cancer from progressing for a longer time and lead to deeper, more lasting responses. About 939 participants will be assigned to receive one of the two treatment combinations and will be monitored closely for effectiveness and side effects.
