Summary
This study tested whether doctors could get the same good results treating multiple myeloma with fewer side effects by using drugs in a specific order. Researchers started patients with two drugs, then only added a third drug if the cancer wasn't responding well enough. The goal was to see if this step-by-step approach could control the disease while causing less toxicity than giving all three drugs together from the start.
