New drug cocktail shows promise for myeloma patients ineligible for transplant

NCT ID NCT04009109

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a combination of four drugs (lenalidomide, ixazomib, dexamethasone, and daratumumab) in 79 adults newly diagnosed with multiple myeloma who cannot have a stem cell transplant. Participants receive the drugs for 12 cycles, then are split into two groups: one continues with lenalidomide alone, the other with three drugs, both for up to 2 years. The goal is to see which approach better delays the cancer's return or worsening.
