Summary

This study looks at better ways to diagnose and treat people with drug-resistant focal epilepsy, a condition where seizures start in one part of the brain and don't respond to medication. Researchers will use advanced imaging and tests to pinpoint the exact seizure source and guide treatment, which may include surgery or less invasive options like focused ultrasound or nerve stimulation. The goal is to improve patient selection for these treatments and ultimately reduce seizures and improve quality of life. About 337 adults with this type of epilepsy will take part.
