First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at why some people with idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH) improve after a brain shunt surgery while others do not. Researchers will analyze spinal fluid and brain scans from 40 older adults before and after surgery to find biological markers that predict success. The goal is to better understand the disease and improve patient selection for this treatment.
