New PTSD therapy shows promise in reducing symptoms and improving sleep

Summary

This study tests a new type of talk therapy called Multi-Modal Cognitive Processing Therapy (MMCPT) for people with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The goal is to see if it reduces PTSD symptoms, improves sleep, and helps with anxiety and depression. Sixty adults with PTSD will be randomly assigned to either MMCPT or standard care, and their progress will be tracked for a year.
