Supercharged immune cells take on childhood cancers
NCT ID NCT02789228
First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This early-stage trial tests a new treatment for children and young adults with high-risk solid tumors that have not responded to standard therapy. The approach uses a patient's own immune cells, trained to recognize multiple cancer targets, to attack the tumor. The main goal is to check safety, but researchers will also look for signs that the tumors shrink or disappear.
