Trial tests if tinkering with Parkinson's pill mix can stop dangerous dizziness

NCT ID NCT06831500

Summary

This study is a small, early-stage trial to see if it's possible to run a larger future study. It aims to find out if changing the mix of two ingredients (Carbidopa and Levodopa) in a common Parkinson's disease medication can better control sudden drops in blood pressure when standing up. The research will involve 36 people with either Parkinson's disease or a related condition called MSA-P who experience this dizziness and fainting risk.
