Scientists hunt for clues: could gum disease be linked to MS?
NCT ID NCT07412431
Summary
This study aims to understand if there is a connection between multiple sclerosis (MS) and gum disease (periodontitis). Researchers will compare the oral health and saliva of 100 people, half with MS and half without, looking for specific germs and inflammation markers. The goal is to gather knowledge about how these two chronic inflammatory conditions might be related.
