Scientists track how periods affect MS exercise response
NCT ID NCT06105463
Summary
This study aimed to understand how the menstrual cycle affects the experience and physical response to exercise in women with multiple sclerosis (MS). Researchers compared 15 women with MS to women without the condition, having them perform high-intensity and strength training sessions at different cycle phases. They measured satisfaction, fatigue, physical function, and blood markers to see if responses differ, particularly in the luteal phase before a period.
