Do hospital antibiotics put kids at risk for superbug?

NCT ID NCT07234734

Summary

This study aimed to understand the risk of children picking up a drug-resistant germ called MRSA while in the hospital. Researchers tracked 581 hospitalized children aged 1 to 16 to see how many developed MRSA in their noses within 30 days. A key goal was to see if receiving antibiotic treatment during the hospital stay made children more likely to get this germ.
