NCT ID NCT07073183
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This early-stage study aimed to test a new mRNA vaccine (CVHNLC) combined with the immunotherapy drug pembrolizumab in people with advanced squamous non-small-cell lung cancer. The trial was designed to find a safe dose and see if the combination could shrink tumors. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no results are available.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
CVHNLC mRNA vaccine plus pembrolizumab
What this could lead to
If successful, this could point toward a new treatment option for advanced squamous lung cancer by combining an mRNA vaccine with immunotherapy.
What could go wrong
This trial was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no data are available. Early-phase cancer vaccine studies often fail to show benefit or have safety issues.
