Can an MRI replace a PET scan for bone marrow in prostate cancer?

NCT ID NCT07609225

First seen May 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special MRI scan (CSE-MRI) can measure active bone marrow as accurately as a PET scan (FLT PET) in men with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. Fifteen participants will receive both scans on the same day to compare results. The goal is to see if the MRI can be a simpler, radiation-free alternative for planning treatment.
