New study tests if 3D MRI outperforms ruler for breast tumor measurement

NCT ID NCT07268300

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study aims to see if MRI can measure breast tumor volume more accurately than the usual one-dimensional ruler method. About 59 women with suspicious or confirmed breast cancer will get an MRI before surgery, and the MRI-based tumor volume will be compared to the actual tumor size measured after removal. The goal is to improve treatment planning and response tracking.
