Could a safer scan replace the standard for a rare cancer?

NCT ID NCT03968315

Summary

This study aims to find out if an MRI scan is as good as, or better than, a standard CT scan at determining the stage of thymoma, a rare tumor in the chest. Researchers are comparing how accurately each type of scan shows the tumor's size and spread against what is found during surgery. The goal is to improve imaging for this condition, potentially offering a method without radiation exposure from CT.
