Scientists map brains to improve depression treatment accuracy

NCT ID NCT05598931

Summary

This study tested new software that uses MRI brain scans to help doctors more accurately target brain stimulation therapy for treatment-resistant depression. Researchers scanned 20 healthy volunteers' brains and recorded positions for the stimulation device. The data helps develop computer algorithms that could improve treatment precision in the future.
