Scientists use brain scan tech to pinpoint hidden jaw pain
NCT ID NCT06892041
Summary
This study is testing whether a special type of MRI scan can accurately measure and diagnose chronic pain in the jaw muscles. Researchers will compare scan results from 90 adults who have different levels of jaw pain, from none to active pain. The goal is to develop a better, more objective tool to help doctors identify this specific type of facial pain.
