New scan could replace risky brain biopsies for tumor grading
NCT ID NCT06916715
Summary
This study looked back at a special type of MRI scan called magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) in 512 brain tumor patients. The goal was to see if this non-invasive scan could accurately determine how serious a brain tumor is, which normally requires a risky surgical biopsy. Researchers compared the scan results to biopsy findings to check if MRE could be a reliable, surgery-free alternative for monitoring brain tumors.
