Scientists scan placentas to understand Obesity's pregnancy impact
NCT ID NCT06314009
Summary
This study aims to understand how obesity before pregnancy might affect blood flow and oxygen delivery through the placenta. Researchers will use MRI scans in the second and third trimesters to compare these factors in women with obesity versus those with a normal weight. The goal is to gather knowledge that could inform future care, but this study does not provide treatment.
