MRI scans could offer new window into cystic fibrosis treatment effects

NCT ID NCT04391322

Summary

This study aims to see if MRI scans can detect changes in the lungs of people with cystic fibrosis who are receiving new CFTR-modulator treatments. Researchers will compare MRI results to standard breathing tests and quality of life measures over several years. The study includes healthy volunteers, people with stable cystic fibrosis, and those starting or receiving the new treatments, including a group of young children aged 4-8.
