MRI study maps healing of young Athletes' back injuries
NCT ID NCT07215845
Summary
This study aims to better understand how stress fractures in the lower back heal in adolescents and young adults. Researchers will use a series of MRI scans over one year to watch the bone repair itself in 40 participants with these injuries. The goal is to gather information that could help doctors in the future decide when it's safe for someone to return to sports after this type of injury.
