MRI scans aim to tell real cancer growth from false alarms

NCT ID NCT07381322

Summary

This study aims to help doctors better tell the difference between real cancer growth and temporary inflammation that looks like growth during immunotherapy for rectal cancer. Researchers will use multiple MRI scans and blood tests from 300 patients to create a more accurate detection method. The goal is to prevent unnecessary treatment changes when patients are actually responding well to therapy.
