Scientists test special MRI to spy on cancer cells during treatment

NCT ID NCT04251481

Summary

This study is testing if a special type of MRI scan can better measure how head and neck cancer responds to chemotherapy and radiation. Researchers want to see if this scan, which looks at how water moves inside tumor cells, can provide an early and accurate picture of whether the treatment is working. The study involves 16 patients who are about to start standard treatment for their cancer.
