New scan could spot dangerous head artery inflammation faster

NCT ID NCT05865054

Summary

This study is testing whether MRI scans can help doctors see inflammation in the arteries that supply blood to the head, brain, and eyes in people suspected of having giant cell arteritis. It involves 400 adults aged 50+ who are showing new symptoms. Participants will have MRI scans and fill out questionnaires to see if this imaging method improves detection compared to current tests.
