New MRI techniques aim to predict chemo success earlier in breast cancer

NCT ID NCT05704062

First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This observational study is testing whether advanced MRI scans can predict how well breast cancer responds to chemotherapy earlier and more accurately than standard tumor size measurements. About 135 participants receiving standard chemotherapy will undergo additional MRI scans to measure tumor blood flow and cell density. The goal is to improve surgical planning and treatment decisions, but the study itself does not provide a new treatment.
